NOTE:
THIS IS AN EMPLOYEE POSITION Applicant requirements:
- Must LOVE animals (duh!) - Must demonstrate a history of responsibility and reliability (we do call references!) - Must have a clean criminal record (we do background checks) - Be okay with picking up poop and cleaning the occasional doggy butt.
Not the most glamorous part of the job, but it's part of the territory.
- Must have experience caring for animals.
Simply having owned a dog in the past does not qualify.
- Be in good shape and able to walk for long periods of time.
Our walks can be anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, sometimes 7-8 visits/day.
At dog exercising rate that can be 10
miles/day.
- Must live in the area you are applying for.
We want staff members who are comfortable in and familiar with the neighborhoods they'll be working in.
And the less commute time the better for everyone! :
) - Must have reliable transportation - the job requires driving between clients' homes.
That means a car, sorry.
