Spanish Teacher - Part-Time

Brightmont Academy is seeking a part-time Spanish Teacher for our Northgate campus.
This position offers the opportunity to work one-on-one with high school students of all levels.
The Spanish Teacher should have experience teaching Spanish to grades 9-12.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university Current Washington State Teacher certification preferred but not required.
Previous experience teaching at the high-school level required with competency in special education.
Additional competencies are preferred.
Ability to commit to a set part-time schedule.
Responsibilities:
Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, record results and issues progress reports.
Maintains a classroom learning environment which is safe and conducive to learning.
Establishes an environment of mutual respect and professionalism where students are encouraged and supported to be actively engaged in the learning process.
Maintains an open line of communication with parents/ guardians/ school district mentors and personnel.
Completes written progress reports twice each month.
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals.
Maintains timely records of student performance.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
