Minimum 1-year experience as an ophthalmic assistant experience COA or COT preferred.
Graduation from an accredited school or program, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED, basic knowledge of medical coding terminology and convention.
Basic math skills (add, subtract, etc.
), understand and use fractions, decimals.
Compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Windows environment, and strong keyboarding skills basic level in NextGen preferred.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication for exemplary customer service.
Strong organization with attention to detail.
Computer literacy and strong keyboarding skills.
