Senior Documentation Manager, Governance and Resource Management, AWS Identity Docs

Job summaryThe AWS Documentation team is looking for a documentation manager for technical writers who work on Governance and Resource Management services.
These include AWS Organizations, AWS Account Management, Resource Access Management (RAM), Resource Groups, and Tagging.
You'll be responsible for developing and growing the writers on your team.
As a technical leader, you set the standard for excellence for our documentation.
You'll ensure that we deliver technically accurate, well-written, simple, and customer-focused documentation.
You'll help set team goals and be expected to deliver on those goals for maintaining a high bar for documentation quality.
You will also be expected to work with the AWS engineering teams on shared goals and efforts.
Ideally, you have a technical background that enables easy interaction with software development engineers, product managers, and technical program managers, and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation.

The AWS Documentation team writes and provides support for a diverse audience consisting of developers, DevOps professionals, IT professionals, technical program managers, and scientists.
On behalf of our customers, we do much more than just write the docs.

We partner with software developers to learn the inner workings of AWS services so that we can influence design and the customer experience.

You'll engage with service team engineers, product managers, and leadership in Seattle (WA), Herndon (VA), and Germany.
Your coworkers and writers are primarily located in Seattle (WA), but could be located around the world.
About the teamThe AWS Identity Docs team provides customer-facing documentation for the technologies and services that customers use to manage who has access to what in AWS.
Governance and Resource Management docs help customers manage their AWS resources and accounts at scale.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
