About PeaceHealth Department:
PFS Hospital UGH (8335) THIS IS A LIMITED DURATION POSITION JOB SUMMARY Responsible for multiple phases of billing process and to ensure acceptable cash flow and appropriate days in receivable by timely follow:
up and resolution of balances owed by third party payers and patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 2.
May be responsible for Daily account follow up 3.
May be responsible for taking new information and updated accounts and opening accessions.
4.
Submission of timely and accurate billing.
6.
Responds to and maintains correspondence.
7.
Responds to customer inquires in a timely and professional manner 8.
Communicates appropriately with insurance companies, patients, co:
workers and supervisors 9.
Resolve insurance claim rejections/denials and remedy expediently.
10.
Meets minimum productive standards and assists with departmental coverage as needed.
11.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Knowledge of insurance processes, collection procedures and regulations preferred.
OTHER SKILLS:
Proficient use of computers including Microsoft Office applications Must be proficient in 10:
key by touch and keyboarding skills.
Ability to operate other general office equipment Excellent spelling and grammar Excellent phone and customer service skills Must be able to mange conflict, communicate effectively and professionally, and meet time sensitive deadlines.
Able to work without supervision, but know when to consult with supervisory personnel for assistance in determining appropriate actions Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritized and meet deadlines Job Category:
