Software Engineer (seattle)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
FTI Technology, a division of FTI Consulting, is committed to being the world's leading legal review productivity company. The FTI Technology R&D group in Seattle performs critical activities to achieve this goal. This team has a long history of innovation, starting with the award winning Attenex Patterns concept analytics visualizations, and expanded after acquisition to incorporate the scalable corpus and technologies of FTI Ringtail. We are now performing product development of cutting edge e-discovery, visualization and text analytics software, leveraging state of the art Microsoft technologies in development of our next generation product. With this in mind, we now seek Software Engineers to join our Development Team. Software Engineers are key members of the Development team working to design and implement new applications using a combination of C#, .NET 4.0/4.5, MS SQL and ASP.NET and HTML5. In addition, UI skills such as Sencha Ext js, JQuery , Silverlight, AJAX, MVC are desirable but not required. The Software Engineer must understand all aspects of development in a fast-paced agile and user-centered process, and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of product managers, interaction designers, software and test engineers. PRIMARY DUTIES:
Contribute to overall platform architecture. Work in a multiple product/project environment with frequent deliveries. Contribu
te to and improve the development process and lifecycle. Ensure quality whilst driving to releases. BASIC
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years developing scalable client/server and/or web applications with ASP.NET , C#, .NET. Minimum 2 years working in MS Windows development platform and MS SQL Server, VS 2008 / 2010 / 2012 Minimum 2 years experience developing UI forms and visualizations, either web or binary applications PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience working with the Sencha Ext JS platform, HTML5, JQuery, and AJAX. Experience working with ASP.NET , C#, MS-SQL. Excellent design/development skills and technical judgment, along with great communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop software without detailed supervision in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and technical judgment. Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with peers and senior management when required. Experience working with Silverlight or WPF. Experience working with service-based architecture (WCF, Dependency Injection). Experience with delivering applications using scale-up and scale-out design patterns in distributed applications. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology. Experience with VS 2008/2010/2012 and TFS. Understanding of legal terminology and litigation software a plus.
